名鉄がほぼロングシートで統一された今、JR東海名古屋地区もオールロングシートの車両を
大量投入するのは資本主義社会では当然のことですね。

静岡地区在来線の平均乗車時間は12.8分。
オールロングシートで誰も困ることはありませんし、乗り降りしやすく広々とした
オールロングシートはそのような短距離利用中心の路線ではサービス向上になります。

しかし、以前に比べて静岡地区の乗降人員は減り続けているため名古屋からの転属車を持ってきても
乗降に時間がかかることはないと判断したようです。

逆に名古屋の特に三河地区の乗降人員が増え続け、乗れない駅が続出したため、対応として315系8連ロング車を投入する予定です。
