I envy if it's an elegant trip on a passenger ship.
November 28th is Pacific Ocean Anniversary.
Last year was the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the Pacific Ocean.
This year is the 501st year since it was named the Pacific Ocean.
On November 28, 1520, Portuguese voyager Ferdinand Magellan passed through the straits at the southern tip of South America and left the Atlantic Ocean into the Pacific Ocean.
This strait was later named "Strait of Magellan".
And as Magellan sailed the Pacific Ocean, the weather was nice and peaceful, so he praised the sea as a "peaceful and calm ocean" and named it "Pacific Ocean".
At that time, it was one of the theories whether the earth was round or not, and it was considered reckless to go around the world.
Magellan himself was killed by aboriginal people in the Philippines, but his ship went around the world for the first time in human history and returned home, proving that the earth is spherical.
Magellan commanded the Spanish fleet, which consisted of five ships, and the King made special arrangements to name it the Magellan fleet after the fleet returned to Spain.
He died in the midst of his aspirations, but gave his name to the fleet in honor of his feat.
